Making obsession into invention, Kings of Convenience obsession 1

The name of this blog, I remember, I came up with the help from this Dutch bike shop owner near where I used to live in Brisbane. I remember talking to my friend at a shop nook about starting up a blog and needing a name that makes sense to me in a vague sense. I wanted the name to be in Dutch. For some reasons, I have been obsessed with the Netherlands, for I have forgotten for how long. Though, I don't know much about the Netherlands, I don't know the history, geography, or any songs come from there, food or the language. So I am obsessed with this the idea of the Netherlands, that  idea I sense it but not described in words, or has it become a habit for me to be obsessed with the country and I am obsessed with the obsession I have with this country, that I am not sure of. So this name Leuke Tocht for this blog has been up in this world maybe last three years or maybe shorter or longer. Time has passed, but I am still obsessed with the idea of obsessing over the Netherlands, and I entertain myself with it or substitute something with it.

Why have I logged myself into this site after many rains and sun strokes, changes in houses including cities, strangers to friends, viceversa and after much carbon footprints I have left and muscles i have built from riding bicycle? I just did it, but there is a reason. I am making my obsession into invention. Right now, I have been obsessed with songs of Kings of Convenience, and I want to bring them to Australia. I know that there are people that I have never met in this country who wants to experience their live performance. I want to snap my fingers to their songs and want to be one of the harmonies in their songs and want to really get into the swing and make Erlend Øye smile.

I have some ideas and plans to make this happen. So if you have similar desire to see them in Australia, and know anyone who would be interested to be part of it, even only to put their name down on the petition, could you please contact me? We can make both high quality and quantity request to the Kings of Convenience and all the people involved to make their Australian tour happen.


I will be updating this blog regularly to update you with how I am going with my plan. There will be lots of fun and laughter involved in this plan.
